Trying to revise my system of downloading .jpgs from two cameras and web sites, then composing them into a logically (not time) ordered series for printing and slideshow. I can order for slideshow (TIVO) just fine by batchconverting with an automatic naming. However, I;ve been driven nuts trying to get my HP Series 7400 Office Jet to print in a predefined order.
Based on the post by John Lam May 4 and response I've tried using PIE to establish new create date/times (IS THERE ANYWAY TO DO THIS IN A BATCH MODE??? very timeconsuming to do it one by one as per the reply to John Lam). While this is helpful for my batch renamer. My file names are in logical order and can be displayed by file name order, but it does nothing for the printer order which is not by create date, modify date, file name, or any other file attribute I can see.. ANY SUGGESTIONS HOW TO GET THE PRINTER TO PRINT IN A PREDEFINED SEQUENCE???
Despite continuing problems, PIE works great and will be a 'Keeper".
tks daver
I am looking for a software package to restamp the capture time on a set of files to match in with other cameras used over the same event. I need to add a fixed number of hours to the capture time a set of jpg's.
Thx for your help. Rgds John
Would you be planing to release versions of the programs for the U3 platform ? (www.u3.com)
I love this prg. But:
Need more lines for the page-header!
how can i do it?
Hi,
PIE is part of my picture workflow (for moving files from my camera, renaming, rotating, removing), but then I use other applications. I see a series of .album files and a large (> 1 Gig) thumbs.dat file and I'm hoping I can safely delete these files in order to free up disk space?
Thank you,
David
Hi,
I purchased a GPS datalogger, and I thought it would be great if PIE could GEO tag the jpgs.
Just a thought.
Hi, when I try to redate a file using the EXIF metadata, I get the following results:
Redating pictures...
Could not redate Dad_FBI_4x6.jpg!
Completed.
The EXIF date on this file is Dec 30 1979 @12:26 am.
Is there a limit on the date range where a file can be redated?
Upgraded to PS 2.2. Always have loved this product. The U/G creates 60 mb file per page. It takes an absurd time to print 1 page compared to 1.90 or 2.0. I created 21 pages of 134 pics from low res files (total was only 10 mb of pics). It spooled to 1.24GB! Why is it soooo heavy in 2.2? Can that be trimmed down so it won't be an eon for an 80-100 page book of thumbs? (Using XP Pro, will be reverting back to PS 2.0)
Thank you for the product.
Just installed 3.8 and get error message when initializing "Invalid data type" in {871c5380-42a0-1069-08002b30309d}. If I click OK, I get the message again when I navigate to any picture folder. No pictures are displayed.
On Windows 2000, I get an access violation error message when Pie Studio v2.5 starts (during the splash screen). Pie Studio works fine after that, however.
Thanks very much for the new upgrade.ver. 3.8 of PIE
The slideshow is still one of the best anywhere.
Starting PIES I get a message about not being able to create "presets.dat" and that causes other problems and PIEStudio won't let me use Print Layout.
Can anyone give advice - using Vista
Hi...I use Canon raw files very often and I have .cr2 and .raw. The .RAW files's exif info is recognized but the .CR2 files Exif are not recognized. I thought the previous 2.1 version of PIE Studio recognized both formats. How do I get PIE Studio to recognize my .CR2 files?
Recently my pictures will not display. They have an error "invalid argument to date encode" I have used this for years and have never had any issues. I just reinstalled it and now have this code. How do I fix it?
I am using printstation and find it excellent at printing proof sheets for our customers. Have you ever thought of putting a copyright watermark over the images.
Presently I run a photoshop action to do this and its very time consuming. Besides that where's my commission I always recommend this to all our photographers. her at www.Ordermyphotos.co.uk
I´ve been looking since ever for a software that fits my needs as an used car dealer. I was really astonished of the powerfullness and ease use of use of you software. My three employees and me do save at least 3 hours a week thanks of the employment of your software.
I just wanted to thank you!
Get it on...
The thumbnail view area, and only the thumbnail view area, of the latest version has a background that is different from the previous versions and different from the other panels -- I find this annoying. Why? (This is on Windows 2000 Pro)
